The Saiorse necklace holds a treasured piece of ancient history; an Antoninianus coin set east to west on an 18ct yellow gold snake chain.

  • 18ct yellow gold chain
  • This pendant features an Antoninianus coin dating from 268 AD, measuring 16mm in diameter.
  • The snake chain measures 41cm in length
Once used as currency in the ancient Gallic provinces of the Roman Empire, this coin depicts the face of Victorinus, the ruling emperor between 268–270 AD. Deep memories of time & culture shine from within this piece. On turning the coin over, we see Ceres, the Roman Goddess of the growth of food plants.
