Our Mission

Our vintage collections are curated with the intention of promoting a more sustainable and transparent approach to jewellery.

By investing care and energy into the restoration of original antique and vintage items, we aim to give each piece a new lease on life; reducing its carbon footprint and minimising our consumption of newly-mined metals.

We love how each vintage piece has its own story to tell; a story that will continue to evolve through time.

To source our array of high quality vintage, we visit antique sellers and estate sales.

Once the jewellery has been selected by our buying team, each piece is then assayed to confirm the purity of the metals and the constitution of the stones, then lovingly refurbished by our team in Brisbane, Australia.

What happens to the pieces we don’t curate in our range? The metals are melted down for recycling by our refinery, while special stones from the jewellery are pulled and reclaimed by us. We use these materials to produce new jewellery pieces designed by our product team.

All of our high quality vintage pieces are set in solid metals (9ct, 14ct, 18ct, 24ct gold, white gold, platinum). These pieces have stood the test of time, and will continue to do so with your love and care.

Our vintage pieces feature a variety of precious and semi-precious stones including diamonds, opals, sapphires, rubies, garnets & crystals. On occasion, we will select vintage pieces featuring high quality synthetic stones.

As Molten Store is not the original manufacturer of vintage items, we are unable to extend a warranty to any vintage jewellery purchases.

We take absolute care to restore every vintage piece available for purchase within Molten Store, and encourage appropriate care and wear by those who purchase these pieces.

As the exact age, date of creation and previous conditions of wear cannot be determined, there is a chance that vintage pieces may have underlying weaknesses that have not become apparent during our restoration process. While Molten Store cannot be held responsible for the future longevity of any vintage piece post-purchase, we are incredibly proud of our vintage curation and stand behind our careful refurbishment process. As such, we are more than happy to assess your vintage (purchased at Molten Store) and provide repair or restoration assistance where possible. This may incur a discretionary cost, depending on the circumstance. Customers are responsible for the transportation of their item, should an assessment be requested.

Molten Store highly encourage customers of vintage to insure any vintage pieces within their possession, as this protects your purchase well into the future.

Each vintage piece you find at Molten Store, has already stood the test of time. We’re confident that, with the appropriate care, your vintage jewellery will continue to uphold its beauty well into the future.
