Named for Christopher Marlowe, also known as Kit Marlowe - an English playwright and poet of the Elizabethan era. Marlowe’s works pushed back against anti-LGBTIQA+ bigotry, writing about same-sex relationships through a lens of humanity and beauty.
Star setting was very popular during the late-Victorian era through to the early 1900s. This is where the featured stone is placed into the centre of an engraved star. The stone is held in place with a small bead of metal at the base of each of the points.
