A rich cherry red moves through the stone, deepening to wine at its edges and lifting to flashes of crimson across its step-cut facets. The 2.5ct Asscher-cut tourmaline reveals its geometry in layers, light stepping inward toward a quiet centre.

For this piece, we selected the June solitaire in 9ct yellow gold, allowing the warmth of the metal to intensify the tourmaline’s saturation. Four softly rounded claws sit at each truncated corner, reinforcing the octagonal outline while keeping the face open and uninterrupted.

Beneath, a sculptural basket rises in fluted, split supports, introducing movement against the stone’s strict geometry. The open gallery, with its teardrop-shaped aperture, allows light to pass cleanly through, preserving clarity and depth within the step-cut. A straight, minimal band keeps the composition centred and deliberate, with nothing to distract from the stone or its framework.
