The composition in detail
A deep green emerald-cut sapphire sits in sharp vertical alignment, its step-cut facets forming narrow bands of light and shadow that shift from saturated forest tones to brighter flashes at the edges. At 0.35ct, the parti sapphire carries a precise, linear presence — its geometry clear and deliberate.
For this piece, we selected our signature Toi et Moi setting in 18ct yellow gold, pairing the emerald-cut sapphire with a 0.34ct pear-cut lab-grown diamond and introducing a thicker band for added weight. The two stones sit in close alignment, the curved edge of the pear meeting the straight edge of the sapphire in a continuous dialogue of form.
The composition heightens contrast: the sapphire’s structured step-cut reads calm and measured, while the diamond’s brilliant faceting introduces a softer, more fluid light. Both are held in refined claw settings, allowing each shape to remain distinct while resolving as a single, balanced head.
A wide, flat-profile band anchors the piece, its uninterrupted surface lending stability to the asymmetry above. The low-set construction keeps the silhouette grounded, sitting close to the hand.
