Gold Swap is our circular jewellery initiative. You can bring us unworn or unwanted solid gold or platinum jewellery and we’ll assess its value. In return, you’ll receive store credit to spend on new Molten Store treasures or to put toward a bespoke piece. It’s a way to honour the past, embrace sustainability and rediscover the value of what you already own.

Gold Swap accepts jewellery crafted from solid gold (in any colour or carat) or platinum. We cannot accept gold‑plated or gold‑filled items, sterling silver, brass, stainless steel, costume pieces or loose stones. If your piece contains gemstones you’d like to reuse, we can have them removed during our assessment and return them to you for a bespoke commission.

If you’re unsure about the metal content of your pieces, bring them to a Molten Store boutique or send them in via a Mail‑in Pack. Our jewellers will test and confirm whether your items are solid gold or platinum.

For in‑store swaps, we’ll typically contact you within three to four business days. For mail‑in swaps, allow one to three business days for your satchel to reach us, after which we’ll confirm its arrival and forward your pieces for appraisal. You can expect your offer by email within a week from the date we receive your satchel.

Your Gold Swap credit can be used towards any Molten Store purchase - online or in any of our boutiques. It’s perfect for something new from our ready‑to‑wear range or as part of a bespoke commission.

Gold Swap credit is valid for three years from the date of issue. We hope you’ll enjoy taking time to choose or design your next piece.

There is no obligation to accept. If you decline your offer, we will return your jewellery to you. For mail‑in swaps, we’ll post it back; for in‑store swaps, you can collect it at your convenience.

Once you accept and your store credit is issued, the transaction is final and we cannot reverse a swap after credit has been issued.

If you later decide you’d like to proceed, you’ll need to resubmit your jewellery for a fresh appraisal. Offers are based on the current metal market and may change over time.
Program Terms & Conditions

The Gold Swap program is offered by Molten Store to those wishing to exchange their solid gold or platinum jewellery for store credit.
By submitting jewellery to us, you agree to the following terms:
- Eligibility
Gold Swap accepts jewellery made from solid gold (yellow, white or rose, any carat) and platinum.
We do not accept gold‑plated, gold‑filled, vermeil, sterling silver, stainless steel or costume pieces.
We reserve the right to decline any item we believe to be stolen, counterfeit or otherwise unsuitable. - Assessment & Offers
Items submitted will be appraised by our jewellers to determine the metal content and value. Valuations are based on the metal weight, quality and prevailing market prices.
Our assessment does not include the value of gemstones; however, gemstones can be removed and returned to you upon request.
You will receive a single store‑credit offer. There is no obligation to accept. Offers are valid for fourteen days and may be revised if not accepted within that period. - Acceptance & Title Transfer
To accept a Gold Swap offer, you must complete our identity‑verification process and confirm acceptance via the link provided.
Upon acceptance and issuance of store credit, your jewellery will be recycled by Molten Store and cannot be returned.
Store credit will be issued within one to two business days of acceptance and is valid for three years from the date of issue. Store credit is non‑transferable and not redeemable for cash. - Declining an Offer
If you decline the offer, we will return your jewellery to you. For mail‑in clients, return postage is at our expense.
Once declined, any subsequent submission will be treated as a new GoldSwap with a fresh appraisal; previous offers will no longer apply. - Mail‑in Service
Customers using our Mail‑in Pack accept responsibility for packaging their items securely. Molten Store is not liable for items lost or damaged in transit until we confirm receipt.
The Mail‑in Pack cost will be refunded to your original payment method if you accept your Gold Swap offer.
Unused mail‑in labels remain valid subject to Australia Post’s terms. - Limitation of Liability
Molten Store’s liability is limited to the value of the store credit issued. We are not liable for fluctuations in gold or platinum prices after your items are appraised or for any sentimental value associated with jewellery. - Changes to Terms
Molten Store reserves the right to amend or terminate the Gold Swap program or these terms at any time. Changes will not affect Gold Swap transactions already in progress.
