The composition in detail
A soft lilac hue sits across the oval face of this 1.33ct spinel, shifting between cool grey and violet as the light moves through its facets. The elongated cut gives the colour space to open, with gentle flashes of brightness that feel diffused rather than sharp.
For this piece, we selected The Genevieve ring in 18ct yellow gold, pairing the centre stone with a half eternity pavé diamond band totalling 0.40ct. The fine line of round diamonds runs along the shoulders, bringing a continuous, even shimmer that contrasts with the more subdued, tonal quality of the spinel.
Four claws hold the stone lightly in place, keeping its outline clean and uninterrupted, while the warmth of the gold lifts the cooler lilac, preventing it from feeling flat. The combination creates a balance between softness and structure, where the band adds movement without competing for attention.
This one-of-a-kind Atelier ring is ready to ship, composed with a lighter touch in both colour and form. It has a quiet presence, closer to skin than statement.
