The composition in detail
A deep green oval reveals shifting tones of pine and moss, with darker pools of colour gathering at its centre as light moves across the surface. This 0.98ct oval parti sapphire carries a softly blended palette, its faceting offering a gentle, rolling brightness rather than sharp flashes.
For this piece, we selected The Iris Ring in 18ct yellow gold, framing the stone with a fine halo of 14 round brilliant diamonds totalling approximately 0.14ct. The halo sits close to the oval, forming a continuous perimeter that extends its outline without overwhelming the centre.
Chosen to lend presence without weight, the setting allows the sapphire’s softness to remain intact. The brightness of the diamonds lifts the deeper green tones, creating a subtle contrast that keeps the colour in motion. Four minimal claws hold the stone with restraint, preserving the oval’s uninterrupted line, while a slim, polished band with gently tapering shoulders keeps the composition balanced.
