The composition in detail
A vivid pink unfolds across the oval face of this 4.4ct spinel, shifting from rose to deeper raspberry tones as light moves through its elongated facets. The cut gives the stone a soft symmetry, with flashes of brightness gathering at its centre and tapering gently toward the edges.
For this piece, we selected The Iris in 18ct yellow gold, encircling the spinel with a fine floating halo of 24 round cut white diamonds totalling 0.18ct. The diamonds are held just away from the centre stone, allowing light to pass between the two and keeping the spinel visually open.
The warm tone of the gold deepens the saturation of the pink, while the delicate halo creates a defined outline that sharpens the oval’s proportions without overwhelming it. Sculpted claws and an open gallery keep the setting considered from every angle, balancing presence with lightness on the hand.
This one-of-a-kind Atelier ring is ready to ship, composed as a complete piece with its own distinct character. It sits with a quiet confidence, the colour doing most of the talking.
