Guide to diamond grades

We know that choosing a diamond that suits your taste and budget can be overwhelming, so we’ve done the hard work to make it a dream. Our bespoke natural diamonds have been specially curated to give you an offering of the best, simply choose from our Good, High, or Excellent quality options.

The 4 C's of diamond grading

Traditionally, diamonds are graded on the following factors; clarity, colour, carat, and cut. These influences help to compare diamonds and determine their overall quality, value, and rarity.

  • Clarity

Diamond clarity refers to the prominence and visibility of naturally formed imperfections within a diamond, using a scale from Flawless to Included.

  • Colour

Colour is graded on the absence of a (usually) yellow tint within a diamond, using a letter scale from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow). Diamonds that are without colour are much rarer than those with tint.

  • Carat

Carat is a unit of measurement used to determine a diamond's weight. The larger the carat, the bigger a diamond will be.

  • Cut

Diamond cut entails how well a rough diamond has been shaped, including how many facets a diamond features, its depth and its symmetry.

Our bespoke diamond grades

We’ve edited a selection of the finest natural diamonds to give you a choice from the best.

Good

Our Good quality diamonds range from I - J colour, with SI clarity. The I - J colour range means our Good diamonds are 'Near Colourless', showing a very slight tint that is generally imperceptible to the naked eye. With Slightly Included clarity, our Good quality diamonds feature inclusions that are visible under magnification.

This option is perfect for securing a natural diamond with a smaller budget, giving you room to spend more on a larger carat or unique shape.

High

Our High quality diamonds range from G - H colour, with SI clarity. The G - H colour range means our High quality diamonds are 'Near Colourless', with a very slight tint that is almost impossible to detect with the naked eye. With a clarity grade of Slightly Included, our High quality diamonds have some inclusions, which are visible only with magnification.

This is an ideal option for those with room in the budget to secure an impressive natural diamond, especially when choosing a larger carat, or a shape that reveals more of the diamond from above.

Excellent

Our Excellent quality diamonds range from E - F colour, with VS clarity. The E-F colour range means our Excellent quality diamonds are 'Colourless', so show no visible traces of colour. With a 'Very Slightly Included' clarity, the inclusions in our Excellent quality diamonds are nearly imperceptible, even under magnification.

This option is the dream choice, ideal for those unwilling to make sacrifices in order to achieve the perfect diamond.
